Rocklin has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bella Vista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rocklin Thunder will welcome the Bella Vista Broncos at 4:30 p.m. Rocklin will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Rocklin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Franklin, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Rocklin was ranked third). Everything went Rocklin's way against Franklin on Friday as Rocklin made off with an 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Payton Prior made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katie Wetteland, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Savannah Lorenzini was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Rocklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .512. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Bella Vista fell victim to Whitney and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Broncos' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Rocklin pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.2 runs. As for Bella Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rocklin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bella Vista struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rocklin was able to grind out a solid win over Bella Vista in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Does Rocklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bella Vista turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
