Little River Academy waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the McCallum Knights.
Jamie Chipman and Cylar Fuentes were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Chipman tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Fuentes pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Chipman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Chipman went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Fuentes scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That home run was Chipman's first of the season.
In other batting news, Kaleb Quilty was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Grissom, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
