Rowland dropped their record down to 9-7-1 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Northview Vikings by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered since April 12, 2024.

As for Northview, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8-1 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Rowland since April 28, 2016.

For Northview's part, Clementina Duran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. Duran has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Beatriz Diaz and Marylin Sandoval did most of the damage at the plate: Diaz went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Sandoval went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
