The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southern Wells, who took down 280th ranked Southern Wells, 25-20.
Trinity Lutheran was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 30th to 22nd in Freelance. The Cougars vanquished St. Francis de Sales 39-13 earlier in the week.
Heritage Christian's dynamic duo of Matt Hunt and Anthony Warrum proved tough for Park Tudor to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hunt threw for 331 yards and four touchdowns and Warrum had 226 yards receiving. John Bryant helped Heritage Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 52 yards.
Jason Sawa was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 131 yards as Boone Grove topped the Panthers. Teammate Dean Hill added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
Will Whalen made the biggest impact on defense this week as La Lumiere beat Arlington. The 6-foot-0 junior recorded two fumbles.
Heritage Christian's Hunt and Warrum have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hunt has thrown for 2351 yards this season, while Warrum, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 63 catches for 1251 yards. Cody Poynter from the Wolves leads the league in rushing with 1078 yards.
A big matchup in Freelance this week will be when Crimson Knights takes on Noblesville Lions. The Crimson Knights are in 27th place, while Noblesville Lions is in second place.
East Chicago Central extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bowman Academy, 55-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
