Palmer Ridge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Lutheran Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Palmer Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Palmer Ridge earned a 43-33 win over Pueblo County.
Palmer Ridge found their leader in underclassman Corinna Arellano, who scored 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Arellano has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Romero, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lutheran's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Resurrection Christian.
Palmer Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Palmer Ridge ended up a good deal behind Lutheran in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 51-36. Can Palmer Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
