Catalina Foothills found their leader in underclassman Alessandra Egginton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Egginton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kayanna Chief, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Ironwood Ridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Myla Elslager, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and six steals. Jaidyn Saucedo was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals.
Catalina Foothills is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Ironwood Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
Catalina Foothills will head out on the road to challenge Cholla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ironwood Ridge, they will square off against Cienega at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Ironwood Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday.
