The Fullington Academy Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 36-6 defeat at the hands of Augusta Prep Day.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Augusta Prep Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Chavous, who rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Chavous' longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Eli Mcfadgen and his 128 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Augusta Prep Day's win.
Fullington Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Augusta Prep Day, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
Fullington Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Thomas Jefferson Academy. Thomas Jefferson Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Augusta Prep Day, they will square off against Georgia Christian at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Georgia Christian is ranked 457th, while Augusta Prep Day is ranked 444th).
