They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 68-33 win over Aurora West College Prep Academy. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Addenbrooke Classical Academy had established a 32 point advantage.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diego Jaramilio, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. It was the first time this season that Jaramilio pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Wingrove, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, DSST: Green Valley Ranch can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They blew past DSST: College View 85-46 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for DSST: Green Valley Ranch.
DSST: Green Valley Ranch relied on the efforts of Jovonnie Babineaux, who scored 17 points, and Tong Bot, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Babineaux hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Skyyaire Russell, who scored 11 points.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Addenbrooke Classical Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like DSST: Green Valley Ranch struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.3 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy was taken down by the Raptors 78-17 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Addenbrooke Classical Academy was down 45-7.
