Corvallis and Silverton are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Foxes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Corvallis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Corvallis beat Crescent Valley 11-6. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly five runs.
Teagan Ocampo and Annabel MacClary did most of the damage at the plate: Ocampo got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while MacClary went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI MacClary has posted since back in April of 2025. Kate Musson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Corvallis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Silverton). They blew past Willamette 17-2 on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Foxes with their most commanding win of the season.
Brynnlee Dalisky looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Easton Rains, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Lexington Rains, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Silverton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Corvallis, their record now sits at 4-5.
Corvallis suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Silverton when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
