Baseball Recap: Stadium Sets Scoring Season-High Against Auburn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stadium). They blew past the Auburn Trojans 13-3 on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Finn Wood made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Brandt Juergens was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Luca Dossetti also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Stadium picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Auburn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Stadium and Auburn could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Tigers will challenge North Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (223 vs. 66). Meanwhile, Auburn (ranked 240th) will meet Kentridge (ranked 58th) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
