The Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes will square off against the Fort Bend Elkins Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Bend Hightower is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Fort Bend Hightower is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Ridge Point just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-4.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Elkins got the win against Fort Bend Clements on Tuesday by a conclusive 17-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.
Adrian Thummel was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Thummel was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Fort Bend Elkins got a massive performance out of Jaila Davis, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Victoria Vargas was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
Fort Bend Elkins was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
Fort Bend Hightower's loss dropped their record down to 17-4-2. As for Fort Bend Elkins, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fort Bend Hightower hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. However, it's not like Fort Bend Elkins struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fort Bend Hightower took their victory against Fort Bend Elkins when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 27-15 score. Will the Hurricanes repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
