Softball Recap: Metamora's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Metamora had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Canton Little Giants get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The Redbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Metamora's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Canton, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Metamora and Canton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Redbirds (ranked 64th) will meet Mt. Zion (ranked 12th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Canton will face off against Dunlap at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (86 vs. 19).
