Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hickory). They took their match on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 67-18 victory over the West Iredell Warriors. The Red Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Hickory's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for West Iredell, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Hickory and West Iredell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Hickory will square off against Foard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 212 places (412 vs. 200). Hickory is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
