The Biddeford Tigers waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 45-38 win over Massabesic. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Biddeford also won the last time the pair played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Massabesic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lydia Desrochers. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Desrochers hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Cyr, who scored nine points.
Biddeford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Massabesic, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biddeford's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maine (York is ranked 54th, while the Tigers are ranked 56th). As for Massabesic, they will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
