 In other batting news,  Reyna Chavez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
Sequoia Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sequoia Charter will face off against Gila Bend at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Gila Bend will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, they will take on Tohono O'Odham at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Tohono O'Odham has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 24  runs per game on average), something Thunderbird Adventist Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
