The Vacaville Christian Falcons's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 60-40 margin over Esparto. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Vacaville Christian has posted against Esparto since January 4, 2020.
Brian Laxamana was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tai Douglas, who scored nine points along with six assists and five steals.
Esparto lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cohen Sihapanya, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Sihapanya continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Torres, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Vacaville Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Esparto, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
