They came out on top against North Central by a score of 53-41. Given Evergreen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while North Central is ranked 569th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gage Kidston, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Kidston's third in a row with at least ten points. Anton Hegler was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four blocks.
North Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Evergreen's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for North Central, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Evergreen will be playing at home against Delta at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Pettisville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
