The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knox Redskins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tippecanoe Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.
Tippecanoe Valley entered their tilt with North Miami with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Tippecanoe Valley simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Miami 75-35 at home. With Tippecanoe Valley ahead 44-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Ian Cooksey, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Shepherd, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Tippecanoe Valley's lineup was just a bit different on Tuesday as Aiden Shepherd got a bit more time on the court (20 vs. his season average of 7.57). Shepherd made the most of the opportunity, scoring four points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, Knox came up short against Pioneer on Tuesday and fell 45-35. Knox has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tippecanoe Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Knox, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Tippecanoe Valley strolled past Knox in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 69-50. Does Tippecanoe Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Knox turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
