Academy Charter will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the St. Mary's Gaels at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Academy Charter ended up a good deal behind Central and lost 59-43.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jovani Dorismond , who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sam McQueen, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. The matchup between St. Mary's and Franklin wasn't particularly close, with St. Mary's falling 89-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Academy Charter now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Mary's, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
