The Boling Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hempstead Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hempstead took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Boling, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Boling beat Van Vleck 60-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Boling.
Meanwhile, Hempstead had to suffer through a rough 80-28 loss at the hands of Hitchcock. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hempstead in their matchups with Hitchcock: they've now lost eight in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Calvin Thompson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Dontae Houston was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
The win got Boling back to even at 12-12. As for Hempstead, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-16 record this season.
Boling came out on top in a nail-biter against Hempstead in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 64-61. Will Boling repeat their success, or does Hempstead have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
