Governor's School for Science & Math was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They took  a  55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midlands STEM Charter Mavericks. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 Midlands STEM Charter's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Trey Bevins, who  went 6 for 14  on his way to 19 points and five  steals. Bevins has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  steals the last three times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cole Talbert, who  went 7 of 16  en route to 16  points and five  steals.
Governor's School for Science & Math's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Midlands STEM Charter, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-14.
 Governor's School for Science & Math wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  72-64  defeat against Midlands STEM Charter on the 6th. As for Midlands STEM Charter, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  110-36  loss against Lewisville on the 4th.
