For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Veritas Christian has suffered against Wichita HomeSchool since February 13, 2021.
Despite the loss, Veritas Christian still got an impressive performance from Rachael Gaspers, who scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks. That was a full 81% of Veritas Christian's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nicole Gaspers, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Veritas Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wichita HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veritas Christian will take on Christ Prep Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wichita HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Herington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
