Baseball Recap: Clark Montessori Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

The Clark Montessori Cougars got the win against the Gamble Montessori Gators on Saturday by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Cian Wright and Jaxon Wilkerson made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Wright pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wilkerson pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Wright got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, while Wilkerson went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Tega Bakai was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Ethan Ernst was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Clark Montessori was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Clark Montessori is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games.
