After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matchups, the Brimley Bays finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They were beaten by Sault Area 57-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brimley has scored all season.
Brimley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Perry LeBlanc, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Brimley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Sault Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brimley will challenge St.Ignace at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St.Ignace's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Sault Area, they will head out on the road to square off against Escanaba at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
