The Osborne Bulldogs will face off against the Rural Vista [Hope/White City] Heat at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Osborne is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Osborne put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They blew past Blue Valley 56-6 at home.
Dalton Garman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 171 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 28 yards and a touchdown. Kaiden Schultze was in the mix as well, providing Osborne with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even though Marmaton Valley scored an imposing 50 points last Thursday, Rural Vista [Hope/White City] still came out on top. Rural Vista [Hope/White City] strolled past Marmaton Valley with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. The victory was just what Rural Vista [Hope/White City] needed coming off of a 68-20 defeat in their prior match.
Rural Vista [Hope/White City]'s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Carson, who rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown. Logan Tate was another major influence, as he rushed for 139 yards and ran in a TD.
Their wins bumped Osborne to 8-1 and Rural Vista [Hope/White City] to 5-4.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as the pair haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Osborne commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 7.7 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Rural Vista [Hope/White City] struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
