Lakota East is 9-1 against Oak Hills since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Lakota East Thunderhawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Oak Hills Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. Lakota East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Lakota East scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 67-41 margin over Middletown. Considering Lakota East has won four matches by more than 23 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Lakota East got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooke Asher out in front who scored eight points along with three steals. Asher hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Katlyn Pham was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Oak Hills was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 37-32 to Sycamore. Oak Hills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lakota East has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Oak Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-3.
Everything went Lakota East's way against Oak Hills when the teams last played back in January as Lakota East made off with a 60-37 win. Does Lakota East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
