After flying high against the Cairo Syrupmakers  last Friday, the Westover Patriots came back down to earth. Westover was beaten by Colquitt County 68-30 on Saturday. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Westover in their matchups with Colquitt County: they've now lost four in a row.
 Despite the loss, Westover still got an impressive performance from   Jada Landers, who  scored 14 points along with six  rebounds.  Sydney Donaldson was another key contributor,  scoring nine points.
  Amira Walters- Smith was  her usual excellent self,  going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 3 assists for Colquitt County. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Walters- Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Amareyia Knighton, who  scored 16 points along with three  steals.
 Westover now  has a losing record at 8-9. As for Colquitt County, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
 Westover will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Monroe at 6:00  p.m. Monroe will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Colquitt County, they will head out on the road to  take on  Lowndes at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Georgia (Lowndes is ranked 47th, while Colquitt County is ranked 22nd).
