The Shiloh Christian Saints will take on the Van Buren Pointers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shiloh Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Van Buren likes a good challenge.
Shiloh Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Lake Hamilton: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Saints blew the Wolves out of the water with a 63-12 final score. Considering the Saints have won six contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cole Creighton had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 504 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 314.6 passing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Zane Sluyter, who picked up 252 receiving yards and three TDs.
Shiloh Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Silas Nantze and Zander Salter.
Meanwhile, Van Buren entered their matchup against Mountain Home on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pointers lost 44-20 to the Bombers. The Pointers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
Shiloh Christian will have to keep a close watch on Hayden Christenberry and Toray Wilford, a pair of players who had a big impact on Van Buren's prior game. Christenberry rushed for 90 yards and one score, while Wilford picked up 78 receiving yards and one touchdown. Wilford really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 77 yards.
Shiloh Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points over those games. As for Van Buren, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
We should be in store for an exciting game as Shiloh Christian and Van Buren have no problem gaining yardage. The Saints have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 521.6 total yards per game. However, it's not like Van Buren struggles in that department as they've been averaging 378.2 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Everything came up roses for Shiloh Christian against Van Buren in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 63-35 victory. In that game, the Saints amassed a halftime lead of 56-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
