Pahrump Valley is 1-9 against Boulder City since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. One thing working in Pahrump Valley's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last 14 games.
Pahrump Valley's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Sunrise Mountain. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Danika Cox-Hosino and Ryleigh Denton did most of the damage at the plate: Cox-Hosino went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Denton went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave Denton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Saldana, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Boulder City came tearing into Thursday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 15-0 win. The Eagles are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 11th match they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Rhiley Beck made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Boulder City got a massive performance out of Payton Rogers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Chloe Jamison also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Boulder City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .361 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Boulder City's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Pahrump Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Pahrump Valley couldn't quite get it done against Boulder City in their previous meeting on April 4th as they fell 13-10. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
