Football Recap: Stillwater Piles Up the Points Against Eisenhower

Stillwater won the last time they faced Eisenhower and things went their way on Friday too. The Pioneers blew past the Eagles 67-0. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Eagles are ranked 133rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stillwater found their leader in sophomore Jaedan Adams, who rushed for 128 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. David Thomas also helped with two scores in total.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Stillwater proved: they limited Eisenhower to a paltry 2.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Jakoby Petree for the heroic effort on defense: he. Stillwater didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.9.

Stillwater didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Isaac Sensintaffar and Bradford Mitchell. Mitchell also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. Sensintaffar got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Stillwater's record is now 3-1. As for Eisenhower, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Stillwater will host Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers will be up against the Generals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eisenhower, they will venture away from home to challenge Southmoore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The SaberCats' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
