It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mineral Point had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lancaster Flying Arrows as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Pointers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
While Mineral Point won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.
Mineral Point's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophie Miller led the charge by getting 19 assists and four digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Ingwell, who had 14 digs.
Mineral Point's victory bumped their record up to 35-4. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
