Even though The Naches Valley Rangers have not done well against the Zillah Leopards recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Naches Valley enjoyed a cozy 30-14 win over Zillah. The win was nothing new for Naches Valley as they're now sitting on four straight.
Naches Valley can attribute much of their success to Dylan Mueller, who rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Thane Denny and his 117 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Naches Valley's victory.
Naches Valley has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in five of their first six matchups, giving them a 6-1 record. As for Zillah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Naches Valley will take on Wapato at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Zillah, they will be playing at home against Selah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Selah will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
