Even though the Orosi Cardinals have not done well against the Orange Cove Titans recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Orosi secured a 68-63 W over the Titans. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bryant Gomez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramiro Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Orosi is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Orange Cove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orosi's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Orange Cove, they will face off against the Aztecs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
