In what's become a running theme this season, the Paradise Honors Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 59-20 win over Yuma on the road. Given Paradise Honors' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Yuma is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Paradise Honors' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaelyn Perez led the charge by scoring 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perez has scored all season. Jocelyn Leal was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Paradise Honors is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Yuma, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Thunderbird the next time they take the court. Paradise Honors will host Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Yuma will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
