It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Somersworth Toppers had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 victory over Newport. Winning may never get old, but Somersworth sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Eric Goodrich threw for 43 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Tayshawn Sheppard rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Somersworth's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Newport, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-1.
Somersworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Newport also has no future games currently scheduled.
