Independence extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Haymann Milton. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Kentwood Kangaroos 59-27 with plenty of help from Milton, who posted 16 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least 16 points.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Kentwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Independence and Kentwood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Tigers see the court they'll take on West St. John at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Kentwood, their break will end when they face East St. John at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
