The victory was just what Layton Christian Academy needed coming off of a 61-35 loss in their prior game.
Layton Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asmin Tanhan, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The match was Tanhan's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Ava Smith was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Layton Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Juan Diego Catholic, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
