Garden Plain ended up on the wrong side of a tough 48-26 walloping at the hands of Hesston. Garden Plain has struggled against Hesston recently, as their game on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Hesston was led to victory by Adrian Hernandez and Reed Friesen. Hernandez scored 18 points, while Friesen scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was Hernandez's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karter Gonzalez, who scored 3 points along with 5 rebounds.
Garden Plain now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Hesston, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Garden Plain won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nickerson at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Nickerson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday. As for Hesston, they will be playing at home against Rose Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rose Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
