Liam Widemire gave up the fewest walks he has since back in March on Monday. Nobody could stop him as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Widemire's strong effort led Wickliffe over Cardinal and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
