The Southwest Leadership Academy Rams came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Adobe Mountain with a sharp 70-50 win. Southwest Leadership Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Ayden Gonzales, who scored 21 points along with seven assists and seven steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Serious Sykes was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Southwest Leadership Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Adobe Mountain, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
Southwest Leadership Academy will head out on the road to take on Empower College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adobe Mountain, they will be playing at home against Premier at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Premier comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
