Blackhawk was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They were dealt  a  79-37 loss at the hands of the Montour Spartans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  84-42  back in December of 2024.
 Montour's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Ama Tening Sow led the charge by  dropping  a double-double on 16  points and 20  rebounds. Sow is  crushing it when it comes to  boards: he's   pulled down at least 12 every time he's  taken the court this season.  Colton Straight was another key player,  going 9 for 15  en route to 21 points.
Blackhawk's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Montour, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Blackhawk has  already played their next  matchup (against West Allegheny), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Montour has already played their next game,  a  70-52  win against Pine-Richland on the 26th.
