Haverford is 2-8 against Ridley since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Fords will square off against the Raiders at 3:45 p.m. Haverford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While Haverford's win against Conestoga wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Fords never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Wednesday. The Fords haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Jimmy Boyle's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridley). They had just enough and edged out Lower Merion 13-12. The high-scoring effort was just what the Raiders needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
The team relied heavily on Jake Mansfield, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Doherty, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ridley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Haverford pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ridley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Haverford has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ridley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Haverford beat Ridley 7-2 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fords since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
