The Durham Academy Cavaliers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against GRACE Christian by a score of 37-30 on Thursday. That's two games straight that Durham Academy has won by exactly seven points.
Among those leading the charge was Rashyia "Shy" Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sasha Bilsborrow, who scored ten points.
Durham Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for GRACE Christian, they bumped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Durham Academy will take on NCSSM: Durham at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for GRACE Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Cary Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Cary Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
