The Marquette Sentinels will face off against the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Marquette made easy work of Sault Area and carried off a 22-8 victory. The Sentinels haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Cece Fuller made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. Fuller was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Marquette got a massive performance out of Charlye Swajanen, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Swajanen has posted since back in April. Eva Dewitt was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Marquette kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Plymouth Christian Academy came out on top against Boyne City on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Eagles blew past the Ramblers 9-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Clara Groen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Mariah Wright was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kallie Brodhagen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Marquette pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
Both Marquette and Plymouth Christian Academy just can't seem to miss. The Sentinels have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Plymouth Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits.
