Cass Tech extended the longest winning streak in Detroit Public - West this week by beating King, 20-14. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Technicians.
Cody took down Douglass 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jayvonte Ball ran for 185 yards during the win.
Renaissance's dynamic duo of Maliek Phillips and Mark Wilson proved to be unstoppable against Osborn, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Phillips threw for 234 yards and 3 touchdowns and Wilson had 81 yards receiving. Roderick Dailey helped Renaissance's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 82 yards.
He was 8-9 with 1 interception.
Cody's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Comets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cornelius Kellogg has thrown for 1,042 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while KaJuan Ocasio has 43 catches for 768 yards.
Cass Tech and the Crusaders played the closest game in the league this week, with Cass Tech eventually emerging with a 20-14 victory.
