Bradford Prep extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-15 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain Island Charter Raptors. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Bears' highest-scoring contest to date.
Carlo Brutus was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Jayce Minerick was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
