Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Riverton Rams, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 24-14 to Humboldt on Friday. Riverton's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Blake Ellis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 165 yards and three touchdowns. Ellis is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Humboldt, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Riverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Humboldt will square off against Sabetha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sabetha is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
