Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Midway walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Waxahachie Indians on Thursday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.

Midway pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Waxahachie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-10.

Midway will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
