Knightdale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Adams, who scored nine points along with 19 rebounds and four blocks. Adams continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Khaim Taylor was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryder Strand, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was KJ Cox, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Knightdale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Heritage, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knightdale will take on Rolesville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Rolesville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Knightdale is ranked 106th). As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wake Forest at 7:45 p.m. Wake Forest is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
