After losing to the Whiteoak Wildcats the last time they met, the Hillsboro Indians decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hillsboro came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 57-47 on Wednesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillsboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Herdman, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kobie Miles, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
The win got Hillsboro back to even at 10-10. As for Whiteoak, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will stay at home for another game and welcome the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (McClain is ranked 372nd, while the Indians are ranked 364th). As for Whiteoak, they will be playing at home against the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fayetteville-Perry will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
